We first introduced Kiko goats in March, 2021, with a gorgeous buck from Kopf Canyon Ranch. Harley is a purebred Kiko goat, registered with the American Kiko Goat Association. We then got him two does that we are excited to watch mature. They’re gorgeous so far.

Why Kiko goats? In doing research I found that Kiko are supposed to be great mothers and more parasite resistant. While it is dry in Colorado, we still need to worry about those sorts of things. I also wanted goats that could kid (have babies) on their own, unassisted. Plus, who doesn’t like eye candy? Kiko goats are a meat breed of goat, and we wanted to bring goat meat into our sustainable-farm plan.
