Mooki is a Turkish Boz Shepherd mix. She is our resident “panther.” She is massive, yet glides on her feet. She is sweet with everyone she meets, and is an excellent LGD. I am thrilled that she turned out so amazing and that I was able to use her in our program. Bringing in outside genetics is quite the ride.

Broham is probably the most dedicated LGD I have. He is also a Turkish Boz Shepherd mix. When he is away from his livestock he seems depressed. It’s really quite the site. He is huge, dopey, committed, and just adds a wonderful presence to our farm.

This litter has had a unique start to life. From day one Mooki wasn’t making much milk. She had 12 healthy pups, but within the first week we lost four of them to starvation (by the time I figured that out it was too late). So we quickly rallied, collected all the raw goat milk, and started feeding those eight puppies with syringes. Then moved up to bottles, pans of milk, mash, and now they are weaned and eating regular dog food. The smallest has nearly caught up in size, and as a result of their unique upbringing (and genetics), are just the sweetest. They’re now being mentored by our resident nannies, Royalty and Prin, and are training with pigs, chickens, and goats.
